Rockstar has now published four big Grand Theft Auto VI videos on its YouTube channel, and all four are in the Trailer Vault above: Trailer 1, Trailer 2, the 27-minute An Extended Look and the Launch Trailer from 15 October 2026. The Vault collects every official Rockstar upload so you can watch the whole story of GTA 6 in one sitting, mark what you have seen, and jump to Rockstar's own channel under each video. No autoplay, no clickbait reuploads, no fake "leaked trailer" thumbnails.

Trailer 1, the reveal (4 December 2023)
The first official trailer broke records on arrival and reset expectations for what an open world looks like. It opens on Leonida at dawn and moves through Vice City's beaches, strip and back roads, introducing Lucia and a sun-bleached, social-media-soaked version of Florida. Tom Petty's Love Is a Long Road runs underneath it, the only song credited in the video description.

Trailer 2, the deep dive (6 May 2025)
The second official trailer went wider and longer, 2 minutes 47 seconds, leaning into Jason and Lucia as a pair and showing far more of Leonida beyond the city: the Keys, the wetlands, small inland towns. Rockstar's own YouTube description settles the old argument about what you are looking at: the trailer "was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes". Want it in 4K?
The official trailers stream in up to 2160p (4K) on Rockstar's YouTube channel; when we checked on 25 October 2026, Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and the Launch Trailer all offered a 2160p option. There is a long-running discussion about higher-bitrate mirrors on other platforms, but we steer you to the official sources only, no reuploads, no sketchy "download" sites. Gameplay: what actually exists
This is where the picture changed most in 2026. An Extended Look is the closest thing to a gameplay reveal Rockstar has released: its YouTube description says it was "captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5". The Launch Trailer carries the same note, and Trailer 2 was already described as equal parts gameplay and cutscenes. What Rockstar still has not released is a hands-on style walkthrough with a visible HUD explaining systems step by step.

An Extended Look, 27 August 2026
"Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" premiered on Netflix on Thursday 27 August 2026 at 3pm ET, then went up free on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the official site at 9pm ET the same evening (3am CEST on 28 August). Confirmed
The YouTube upload runs 26 minutes 48 seconds and mixes long story cutscenes with open-world sequences in Vice City and across Leonida. Netflix reported 31.1 million views in its first four days, according to Variety. On YouTube the official upload showed about 32.8 million views when we checked on 25 October 2026. Rockstar did not call it Trailer 3; it is listed on Rockstar's site as its own video between Trailer 2 and the Launch Trailer. Trailer 3: the Launch Trailer arrived on 15 October 2026
For more than a year this section said that no third trailer was confirmed. That ended on 15 October 2026, when Rockstar posted the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer on YouTube without any advance teaser. Confirmed It runs 90 seconds, was "captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5" according to its description, and debuts "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar's site calls it the Launch Trailer, not Trailer 3; many outlets still number it as the third trailer. Our Trailer 3 page now covers it in full, and it is the last tape in the Vault above.
Soundtrack and creators
The music in the trailers is half the atmosphere. Rockstar credits Tom Petty in Trailer 1, the Pointer Sisters' Hot Together in Trailer 2 and Justice in the Launch Trailer, and Justice are also the composers of the game's original score.
